What is University College Orientation?
Orientation is a week-long transitional program that aims to introduce and guide first-year students through life at University College and the University of Toronto. University College Orientation provides incoming students with transition support, engaging academic and social programming, and a sense of collegiality and community.
I cannot afford Orientation but want to attend. What should I do?
At UC, we believe in providing an equitable and accessible Orientation experience for all. If you would like to attend Orientation but cannot afford a ticket, we offer need-based bursaries that can help cover the cost. Students who demonstrate financial need will not be turned away. Normally, financial need must be demonstrated through qualification for federal or provincial student loan funding (e.g. OSAP). If you think you may qualify for bursary consideration, please contact us by August 20th at orientation@uclit.ca and include your student number.
